About Elena Irueta:
From the first time I learned about Ayurveda, I knew it was something I wanted to study. One day, my husband introduced me to an Ayurvedic Practitioner for a consultation. I hadn't even heard of Ayurveda, but I was open to alternative medicine. As soon as the practitioner started explaining Ayurveda to me, it clicked! It was so logical and it made sense to me based on all I have experienced with my own health challenges.
In 1996, I was diagnosed with a chronic intestinal disease and over the years I've tried different forms of complimentary medicines. While they've been helpful, I find Ayurveda is more complete and it has taken me to another level of caring for myself.
So, following a rewarding 15-year career in Finance, I decided to pursue a career in Ayurveda and started my Ayurvedic practice in 2009. My desire is to share this ancient and beautiful form of medicine with others.
I live in San Francisco and enjoy a healthy lifestyle with my husband, Marty Morales, who is also in complimentary health by way of Rolfing & Bodywork.
